A fantastic wine, winner of numerous awards. Produced from selected vineyards in the Puglia region, south of Italy, grapes are hand-picked with care. The 2016 Bruciato offers an intense ruby red color. On the nose, the aromas of ripe red berry fruit, sweet spices, and a light and fresh minty note are the most prominent sensations. The palate is well structured, persistent, and very pleasurable in its fruity finish and aftertaste.

Deep, intense and lucid ruby red tending to garnet with a complex bouquet of small red fruits, cacao and spices. Produced from the finest selection of Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella grapes, laid out to dry on wooden racks for 3-4 months. The taste is well-bodied, enveloping and smooth.
The 2015 Tignanello is a very intense ruby red in colour. On the nose, the notes of ripe red fruit, together with cassis and blackberries, are in perfect balance with the hints of chocolate and liquorice. The palate is rich, ample, and vibrant and is endowed with lively and silky tannins which give a great complexity and an important length to the finish and aftertaste.
Bright and mineral nose with delicate summer fruits. Full and fresh with a sumptuous fruit explosion (cherry, blackberry) on the palate, before a whack of tertiary characters: black olive, dark chocolate, liquorice and toffee. There’s vanilla and cedar too from the oak and sticky tannins that are very prominent but nicely integrated. It really opened up on the second visit, 20 minutes after the first, where a smidgen of pink peppercorn spice could also be found.
The 2014 Solaia will be released during the second half of 2017. This is a fine-tuned expression that shows a focused sense of detail and careful attention. The quota of Cabernet Franc has been upped by a hair and this makes a big difference, especially in terms of the wine’s bouquet. Otherwise, this celebrated Tuscan blend is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with Sangiovese. It opens to dark fruit aromas with crushed mineral, pipe tobacco, pressed flower and toasted spice. Its appearance is midnight black and profound. The wine delivers a sense of sheer excitement and nervousness that will subside with another few years of bottle age. Nonetheless, I think a certain amount of that bright edginess or rigidness will always be part of this cool vintage Solaia. In the mouth, the wine is firm, compact and dense. The tannins are chiseled to the point of sublime integration. Marchesi Antinori made 40% less Solaia in this vintage in order to maintain the quality you taste here.
